Chirp-protect is a fresh alternative to traditional Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS). It's an alarm-tagging system for retail that:
- doesn't require bulky gates
- is cost-effective on low inventory
- offers tamper-proof protection.
What is the difference between Chirp-edge and Chirp-zone?
Both systems consist of a discreet 14cm cubed Hub and a series of Tags that you attach to your products.
Chirp-edge works in a similar way to conventional EAS gates - you place the Hub above your exit and a tagged item will alarm if taken towards the exit. This is the standard solution for most stores with 4 walls.
Our Chirp-zone system offers zonal protection - a Tag will alarm if taken too far away from the Hub. This is perfect for concession stores or retailers wanting to confine products to a set area.
What makes Chirp-protect Tags tamper-proof?
An additional security benefit of Chirp-protect Tags are that they are tamper-proof. Our Tags will alarm if cut or forcibly removed from the product. Because the alarm is in the Tag itself, any attempted theft is pinpointed instantly.
How can Chirp-protect work alongside existing security measures?
The Chirp-protect ITS box is an optional extra that can integrate with external security equipment. The ITS box listens for the sound of an alarming Tag, and if it hears one, it can trigger an event in a connected device.
